Dr Adalyn Man Hewwing has obtained a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture at the Endeavour College of Natural Health. This qualification included Tui Na massage studies. Adalyn speaks fluent English, Cantonese and basic Mandarin.
Dr Adalyn can treat a wide range of symptoms from neck pain to depression. Being a massage therapist as well as an acupuncturist, Adalyn excels at treating muscular/nerve aches and pains.
To combat low energy level, poor memory, and fatigue, Adalyn also prescribes herbs, advise on diet changes and teach qigong exercises to complement acupuncture treatment. She has a strong interest in the digestive system, menopausal symptoms and overall wellbeing.
Why is Adalyn an acupuncturist?
Her first acupuncture treatment started when she experienced acute lower back pain every morning for one year. Acupuncture treatment resulted in an increase of pain free days.
She revisited the Chinese Traditional Medicine practitioner, receiving acupuncture treatment and Chinese herbal medicine which provided positive results every time. Her acupuncturist encouraged and supported her to study TCM at Endeavour College of Natural Health.
As a young girl, she had experienced issues with painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea). When she became a mother, she needed Chinese dietary advice for post-natal care because a majority of women in her country were getting them and the practice has been proven beneficial in a majority of them.
In later years she experienced early menopause. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) did not reduce related symptoms and stress.
She would like to pass this knowledge to her clients as part of self-care. She hopes to see you in our clinic by an appointment with us. Let’s get the qi moving!
